Stark

Men don’t cry said his father that night,
He stopped after a sob thinking he was right,
He got bullied in school came home beaten,
Her mother ashamed him saying are you a kitten?

He knew nothing when he first saw the sky,
He thought watching birds that he could fly,
Fool he was you might think,
Don’t judge so soon, imagination never stink,
He sometimes sang when he was alone,
There was surely a fear in his tone,
No wonder he had no claims to make,
It was all just for his own sake,

Was he at fault or it was all others?
The thought itself can make you smother,
The girl who called him toothless in the bus,
She didn’t know his mind was in fuss,
The uncle who abused him that day in park,
May be that was time when he lost the last spark,

Society doesn’t excite him anymore,
He was now looking for something core,
Learnt that world is not a perfect floor,
It’s as sheer as an ocean’s shore,
He walked the road no one ever could,
He fought the battle everyone should,
“He got out of an era where it was dark,
World will never know what he was, for your peace I will tell you he was stark”
